2. Scope and public presences

This information applies to the business use of the following external presences and to messages and interactions directed to Plagge Consulting there:

WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, SMS, Zoom and Microsoft Teams are additionally used as business communication and conferencing services. Where no public profile is linked, this information applies to the respective direct communication or use.

3. Data processed by Plagge Consulting

If you interact with a profile, send a message, comment, share a post, arrange an appointment or participate in a video or audio conference, the data processed may include your name or username, profile and contact data, publicly visible profile information, the content of your message or interaction, time data and the communication data required to handle the matter.

Purposes: responding to enquiries, professional and business communication, maintaining professional contacts, scheduling, conducting discussions and video conferences, public relations and – where necessary – documenting business matters.

Legal bases: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where communication serves to initiate or perform a contract; otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest in professional communication, public presence and contact management. Where consent is required and given, processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Statutory retention or evidence obligations may additionally be based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Data sources: Personal data processed by Plagge Consulting generally originates from you when you contact or interact through one of the channels listed above. It may also include information that you have made publicly available in the relevant profile and interaction metadata made available by the platform service in connection with the specific interaction.

Provision of data: Use of these channels is voluntary. As a general rule, there is no statutory or contractual obligation to provide personal data for this purpose. However, without the information required to respond, arrange an appointment or conduct the relevant communication, an enquiry or conversation may not be capable of being processed or carried out.

No automated decisions: Plagge Consulting does not make decisions through these channels based solely on automated processing within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR and does not create proprietary user profiles for advertising or scoring purposes. Platform providers may perform profiling or automated analysis for their own purposes under their respective privacy policies.

The use of a social-media or messaging channel does not by itself constitute consent to advertising. Direct promotional communication is used only where legally permitted.

4. Independent processing by platform providers

The platforms and services named below also process personal data for their own purposes and under their own rules. This may include usage, device, connection, cookie, location, profile, interaction and analytics data. Public posts, comments, likes or other interactions may, depending on the platform, be visible worldwide and may be redistributed by other users. Plagge Consulting has no complete control over the scope, purposes or retention periods of such independent processing. The provider’s current privacy information is authoritative for that processing.

5. Facebook Page Insights and platform statistics

When the Facebook Page is operated, Meta provides Page Insights. To the extent that personal data of visitors from the EU or EEA is processed for those Insights, Meta’s Page Insights Controller Addendum provides for joint controllership between Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and the Page operator. Under that addendum, Meta assumes primary responsibility for key information and data-subject obligations relating to Insights Data. Irrespective of this allocation, data-subject rights may, where legally applicable, also be asserted against Plagge Consulting.

Platform statistics accessible to Plagge Consulting are generally used in aggregated form to assess the reach and use of its own content. These statistics are not combined with proprietary user profiles outside the relevant platform.

6. Messenger, WhatsApp and SMS

If you contact Plagge Consulting via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or SMS, the data required for the communication is processed. This may include telephone number, username, message content, attachments, time and communication history. For Messenger and WhatsApp, the relevant platform provider also processes data under its own privacy terms. For SMS, the telecommunications providers involved are additionally part of the technical transmission.

7. Zoom and Microsoft Teams

Zoom or Microsoft Teams may be used for agreed video and audio conferences. Depending on use, the data processed may include name, email address, participant and connection data as well as audio, video, chat, file and screen-sharing content provided during the conversation.

Recordings and transcriptions: Plagge Consulting records or transcribes a conversation or meeting only after the affected participants have given their prior express consent. Without such consent, Plagge Consulting will not activate the relevant recording or transcription function.

Depending on the product, account type and processing activity, Zoom or Microsoft may process personal data as processors for the relevant account owner and/or as controllers for their own purposes. Further details are set out in the provider information linked above and the applicable contractual and privacy terms.

8. YouTube

YouTube may be used for published or shared videos. No YouTube players are currently embedded on aplagge.com; the platform is contacted only when an external link is actively opened. Within the platform itself, Google’s and YouTube’s own privacy and cookie rules apply.

9. Recipients, third-country processing and safeguards

Recipients of personal data may include Plagge Consulting as well as the platform, telecommunications, IT and conferencing providers used. Several of these providers operate internationally and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Their respective privacy notices describe the mechanisms used for such transfers, including adequacy decisions, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. Through the normal use of the listed profiles, Plagge Consulting does not initiate additional tracking or advertising data transfers from aplagge.com to these platforms.

10. Retention period

Communication data processed by Plagge Consulting is deleted once it is no longer required for the relevant purpose and no statutory retention obligations or overriding legitimate interests, in particular for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, require continued storage. Content, messages or interactions stored within a platform may additionally be subject to that platform’s own retention and deletion rules.

11. Your rights

Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

For processing that lies exclusively within a platform provider’s responsibility, the respective provider will generally be the closest point of contact. You can nevertheless exercise your rights in relation to processing for which Plagge Consulting is responsible at any time by contacting info@aplagge.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany, is particularly competent for the place of business.

12. Relationship to aplagge.com

This information supplements the privacy policy for aplagge.com. The website itself does not integrate social-media plugins, messaging widgets or external YouTube players and therefore does not transmit data to the social-media and communication providers named here merely when aplagge.com is loaded. A connection to an external service is established only when you open a corresponding external link or use the respective service yourself for communication.
