2. Principles of data processing
Personal data are processed only insofar as this is necessary to provide this website, for communication, for the performance of contractual or pre-contractual measures, for compliance with legal obligations or for the purposes of legitimate interests. The relevant legal bases are, in particular, Article 6(1)(b), (c) and (f) GDPR.
This website has deliberately been designed to minimise data collection. It does not use its own contact form, advertising or marketing trackers, social-media plugins, embedded videos or maps, or externally loaded web fonts. CSS, JavaScript and image resources are delivered locally from this website; system fonts available on the user's device are used for typography.
3. Accessing the website and web hosting
Whenever a website is accessed, connection and access data have to be processed for technical reasons so that the requested page can be transmitted to your device and the secure operation of the website can be ensured. These data may include, in particular, the requested page or file, the date and time of access, the referrer, browser type and browser version, operating system, device type and IP address.
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes data as part of the web-hosting service. A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS. According to the current information provided by IONOS, visitor data relating to web hosting are anonymised immediately when collected; the IP address is processed in anonymised form. IONOS states a retention period of eight weeks for these visitor data and states that, in this respect, no transfer to third countries takes place.
Purposes: technical provision of the website, ensuring stability and security, error analysis and prevention of misuse.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and technically error-free operation of this website.
Recipients: IONOS SE as the hosting service provider and, where applicable, technical service providers insofar as this is necessary for the operation and security of the website.
4. IONOS WebAnalytics
IONOS WebAnalytics is used as part of the web hosting of aplagge.com. WebAnalytics is used exclusively for statistical analysis and technical optimisation of the website. For this website, the analysis is based on server-side access data or log files. No client-side tracking or counting pixel is loaded by aplagge.com. WebAnalytics does not use cookies.
The data recorded include, in particular, the referrer (previously visited website), the requested page or file, browser type and browser version, the operating system used, the device type used, the time of access and the IP address in anonymised form. The IP address is technically transmitted when a page is accessed and, according to IONOS, anonymised immediately after transmission and subsequently processed without reference to an identifiable person. IONOS states that it does not store personal data relating to website visitors in WebAnalytics that would allow conclusions to be drawn about individual visitors.
Purpose: statistical analysis and technical optimisation of the website.
Legal basis: To the extent that personal data are processed in connection with technical transmission and processing before anonymisation, the processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the statistical analysis and in the secure and technically optimised operation of the website.
Disclosure and transfer to third countries: According to IONOS, data collected through WebAnalytics are not disclosed to third parties. For visitor data processed in connection with IONOS web hosting, IONOS further states that no transfer to third countries outside the European Union takes place.
5. Cookies, similar technologies and consent banners
The website provided by me currently does not set its own cookies and does not use comparable technologies to store information on your device or to access information already stored there. According to IONOS, IONOS WebAnalytics likewise does not use cookies. On the basis of the website's current technical setup, no consent banner for cookies or comparable technologies is therefore used.
Why is no cookie or consent banner displayed? A consent banner is not an end in itself; its purpose is to obtain consent where consent is legally required. Section 25(1) TDDDG concerns, in particular, the storage of information on an end user's terminal equipment or access to information already stored there. The website code provided by Plagge Consulting has been checked for consent-requiring cookies and comparable client-side storage or tracking mechanisms; no such mechanisms are currently used. Accordingly, on the basis of the current technical setup, there is no consent that would need to be obtained through a banner. A purely precautionary consent dialog without a corresponding consent purpose is deliberately not used.
If functions are integrated in the future that require consent under Section 25 TDDDG or the GDPR, they will be implemented accordingly from both a technical and legal perspective before they are activated, and this privacy policy will be updated.
6. Contact by email or telephone
If you contact me by email or telephone, I process the information you provide, in particular your contact details, the content of your message and, where applicable, any additional information you voluntarily provide, in order to handle your enquiry.
When you contact me by email, the message is not transmitted via a web form on this website, but via the email infrastructure of your and my respective email service providers.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication serves to initiate or perform a contract; in all other cases, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of my legitimate interest in the appropriate handling of enquiries and business communication.
Recipients: To the extent necessary for transmission and processing, the email, telecommunications and IT service providers used may be recipients or processors.
Retention period: I delete communication data as soon as they are no longer required for handling the relevant matter and no statutory retention obligations or overriding legitimate interests, in particular for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, prevent deletion.
7. Requirement to provide personal data
For a purely informational visit to this website, you do not have to actively provide me with personal data. However, the connection data generated technically when the page is accessed are necessary so that the website can be delivered to your device and operated securely.
Contacting me by email or telephone is voluntary. As a general rule, there is no statutory or contractual obligation to provide me with personal data for this purpose. However, without the contact details and information required for a response, an enquiry may not be capable of being processed or answered.
8. External links
This website may contain links to external websites. When you follow such a link, you leave aplagge.com. The respective provider is responsible for data processing on the destination website. This website does not transmit data to the destination provider merely by displaying a normal external link; such transmission takes place only when you follow the link.
For Plagge Consulting’s external social-media presences and for communication via messaging, video and conferencing services, the supplementary Privacy information for social media & communication applies. This information covers, in particular, XING, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
9. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Personal data are disclosed only where this is necessary for the purposes stated, a legal obligation exists or another legal basis permits the disclosure. In relation to the web hosting described here, IONOS states that visitor data are not disclosed to third parties and are not transferred to third countries outside the EU.
If you yourself follow external links or make contact through external communication services, the privacy policies of the respective provider also apply.
10. Retention period
As a general rule, personal data are stored only for as long as this is necessary for the respective purpose of processing. They are then deleted unless statutory retention obligations, contractual requirements or legitimate interests require further storage. For visitor data stored in connection with web hosting, IONOS states a retention period of eight weeks. In WebAnalytics, according to IONOS, the IP address transmitted when a page is accessed is anonymised immediately after transmission and subsequently processed without reference to an identifiable person.
11. Your rights
Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, you have, in particular, the following rights:
- Access to the data processed concerning you (Article 15 GDPR),
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16 GDPR),
- Erasure of your data (Article 17 GDPR),
- Restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR),
- Data portability, insofar as the statutory requirements are met (Article 20 GDPR),
- Objection to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR (Article 21 GDPR).
Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
If I process personal data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to object at any time to this processing. I will then no longer process the data concerned unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
12. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
For my place of business, the following authority is particularly competent:
The Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information
Postfach 3163
65021 Wiesbaden
Germany
Telephone: +49 611 1408-0
Email: poststelle@datenschutz.hessen.de
Website: datenschutz.hessen.de
13. Encryption and security
This website is provided via HTTPS. This encrypts the transmission between your browser and the web server. In addition, appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect the website and the data processed in connection with its operation against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.
14. Automated decision-making
No decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place in connection with this website.
15. Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy will be updated if the website, the services used or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page at the relevant time is authoritative.
